Where Abooba comes from
A short guide to the blob, the reef and the one word Abooba knows.
It started with a sunbeam and a bubble.
Deep inside a sunken temple, a sunbeam slipped through the water and landed inside a bubble. The bubble giggled, glowed and grew a face. That was Abooba.
Nobody has found the exact temple. Abooba says it was "the one with the arches." There are a lot of those.
A bright reef with old stone ruins and lots of places to hide.
Abooba's neighborhood is full of coral, seaweed curtains and fish that Abooba has named. Most of them are named Fish.
When a crab shows up, Abooba floats behind the nearest arch and waits until it leaves.
Sparkles, sunbeams and the occasional bit of plankton.
The glitter inside Abooba is leftover sunlight from meals. On a bright day, the whole blob shimmers.
